4th XI in 2008

4th XI this year has been so far a great success. It proves that next year we can go into a league. Remembering that the 4th's league does not start to later and ends earlier.

With so many members of a good standard it will be difficult to give everybody a game each week.
A 4th eleven will help, although as a club we must be totally committed in fielding a team and not calling the match
off a day before.

I think the 4th XI is a great shout, whilst the reduced membership idea will suit those who are not currently in the 3rd XI. I think it will reduce the likelihood of losing valuable playing members.
Anyway fellas, Fern Britten or Fern Cotton? The former gets my vote every time.

Following approval of the introduction of a 4th XI this year to get ready for entry into the league in 2009 and following the news that several clubs are interested in organising games this year. Do we think that the NEW occasional player membership will help to generate availability?
